Family Day Care South Cairns Association Inc. has been granted a “Provider Approval” under the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.

This means that the Scheme must abide by the National Quality Framework. The National Quality Framework consists of the National Law, National Regulations and the National Quality Standards with a national quality rating and assessment system.

The Scheme is a recipient of Federal Government funding and is fully regulated by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. Families are able to claim the Child Care Government subsidies including Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate.

The Central Governing Body for the kindergarten is The Gowrie.  The Gowrie has been educating and caring for children since 1940 and believes that childhood is a unique time of life, to be valued and enjoyed in its own right.  A belief that runs in line with Family Day Care South Cairns Association Inc.’s philosophy.
